Parking Regulations

  1. All motor vehicles on campus are subject to all state motor vehicle laws as specified in the motor vehicle code and Lincoln Land Community College parking and traffic regulations. The college assumes no responsibility for loss or damage to private property.
  2. All vehicles must park in spaces marked by white lines. Parking is not permitted on roadways, adjacent to curbs, or on the grass.
  3. All traffic signs must be obeyed.
  4. The responsibility of finding a legal parking space rests with the motor vehicle operator. Lack of space is not considered a valid excuse for violation of regulations
  5. In parking areas, a vehicle must be parked in only one space, leaving clear access to adjacent spaces and without blocking driving lanes or creating a hazard for other drivers.
  6. Only persons with a physical disability requiring close access to the building and with a state-issued handicapped parking permit may park in the spaces marked "HANDICAPPED PARKING.”
  7. Any motor vehicle parked in violation of college traffic regulations or abandoned on campus is subject to removal and impounding at the expense of the owner or operator. The term "abandonment," as it relates to motor vehicles parked on Lincoln Land Community College property, shall mean any one or more of the following conditions:
    1. Any vehicle which has not been moved for three or more days without prior permission from the Department, and whose owner or other claimant the college is unable to locate.
    2. Any vehicle which has not been moved three or more days, and the identified owner or claimant has refused to move it.

  8. All motor vehicle and motorcycle accidents on campus should be immediately reported to the Police Department. The Police Department may be reached by calling 786-2278.
